✦ Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY01
- Arrive Manali by Reporting at SBI ATM, opposite Chopstick Restaurant near Govt. Bus Stand by 9:00 AM.
- After registration, the drive will start at 9:00 AM to Jobra via Jeep/Car passing through Prini village.
- There is quite an altitude from Manali & you can start your trek at 9,800 ft.
- Cross the road & take a small path into the forest by witnessing variety of trees.
- After some time, you will reach a lush green meadow. After heading towards it, you will see the a water stream and few cows & sheeps grazing in the field.
- Climb the hill reach Chika at the end of the meadow which is a huge campsite.
- Have a peaceful overnight stay at camps in Chika.
💡 Trip Tip: Keep your daypack light and carry a 1-litre refillable water bottle for the climb from Jobra.
DAY02
- Today's trail will take you through Jwara- a beautiful scenic sheltered valley.
- After an early breakfast, trek begins from Chika and walk along the banks of the river to the left.
- The route will encompass several small waterfalls, lush green meadows and Dhauladhar peaks will be your constant company throughout the hiking hours.
- We set up our camps and relax for the rest of the day as we slowly reach an altitude of almost 11,000 ft.
- Balu Ka Gera is a flat ground amidst the mountains at an elevation of 11,900 ft.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the camps at Balu ka Gera.
💡 Trip Tip: Acclimatization is key today. Drink plenty of water and do light stretches around camp.
DAY03
- Today is the challenging day as the trek is long should be started at around 7:00 AM.
- It will take 4-5 hours to reach the top.
- Start walking towards the mountains from Balu Ka Gera along the river for an hour when the gradient begins, the trail takes you straight towards Hampta Pass.
- You will witness the first plateau, the magnificent Deo Tibba peak right in front of you.
- Climb up the ridges as you come closer to Hampta Pass (14,065 ft) which is vertical and steep that demands concentration and effort (it can vary slightly depending on the snow condition too).
- At the summit, witness the dramatic transition from lush green Kullu to the stark arid mountains of Lahaul & Spiti.
- Descend steadily to reach Shia Goru campsite (12,900 ft) placed beside a scenic mountain river stream.
- Warm dinner and overnight camping at Shia Goru.
💡 Trip Tip: Walk slowly and steadily on the summit climb. Trek poles provide great stability.
DAY04
- Cover Shia Goru to Chatru by foot and it will take approx. 4 hours of easy downhill trek.
- Shia Goru is placed at an altitude of 12,900 ft and Chatru at 11,000 ft. which is a gentle trek.
- The trail here again is by the side of the river valley between mountain ranges where no vegetations can be seen.
- You will witness the Chandra river flowing below & a road that goes by its side.
- Afterwards, two glaciers will be crossed & the other side of the glacier is Chatru.
- Chatru is a magnificent camping site which is a consensus of the three passes: Hampta, Rohtang and Spiti.
- Excursion to Chandratal Lake (14,100 ft) (subject to road & weather conditions). Overnight stay near Chandratal/Chatru.
💡 Trip Tip: Keep your camera batteries warm inside your jacket as cold at Chandratal drains batteries fast!
DAY05
- It is the day when your Hampta pass & Chandratal camping and trekking adventure comes to an end.
- After breakfast, traverse the high altitude pass that connects the humid Kullu Valley and the arid Lahaul and Spiti Valley.
- Arrive at Manali and disperse for your homeward journey with a bag full of memories.
- Most of the Volvo starts for onward journey from Manali after 04:00 PM so you can plan to explore accordingly.
💡 Trip Tip: Book your return Volvo from Manali for 5:00 PM or later to enjoy a relaxed departure.

Important Trek Information
- Travel arrangement from your city to reporting base camp may be arranged at an additional cost.
- Volvo tickets may be booked for your dates on actual cost.
- Additional Night at Hotel/Home stay/Hostel may be arranged with prior information subject to availability and advance booking before and after the trek as per your budget.
- Non-skid deep treaded hiking shoes Quantity -1.
- Sightseeing/Taxi can be arranged from our travel desk at the Base Camp on actual as per the rate Transport & Taxi Union.
- Personal porters may be arranged to carry your personal backpack or luggage.
- Oxygen cylinders and first aid will be there during the trek. Rescue and medical team will be available on call at the base camp in case of any exigencies.
- Tented accommodation will be provided on twin/triple/quad sharing basis as per the tent size while on the trek.
- Medical certificate is mandatory for all the high altitude treks for more than 3 Days duration.
- You need to bring 2 passport size photographs, valid and original government issued id proof. In case of foreigners, you need to carry original and copy of your passport with valid visa. Foreigners need to pay extra amount for permits.
- You need to sign Disclaimer certificate at the time of reporting at the Base Camp.
- Meals will be provided while on trek. Our cooks will be serving the simple vegetarian nutritious veg hot meals for breakfast and dinner during the camping.
- Pack lunch will be provided during the trek. (Rice pulao, potato, dal, local dishes, hot soups, eggs, breads, poha, sweet, tea, milk etc. is the regular trek menu).
- If we do not get minimum strength of 5 participants in a group then we have right to cancel the group at any time.
- We have right to change the itinerary during the time of trekking as per current situation like strike, natural disaster, local union regulations.
- All participants will be responsible for safety and security of their own luggage. We will not be at all responsible for the damage/missing / lost luggage. Carry a small daypack to carry all expensive things with you.
- Rucksacks, trekking poles, raincoats are available on rent subject to availability.

- Our time of departure is fixed must depart by the stated time & keep their status updated with the trip coordinator(s). Anyone missing the bus shall not be eligible for any refunds.
- We shall call you twice before the schedule departure. Drinking & Smoking are strictly prohibited along the tour due to health & safety concerns. Our tours involve physically demanding activities such as trekking, camping at high altitudes and we recommend for you to be in the right shape to make most of them.
- No act of misconduct or indiscipline shall be tolerated on the tours. We are a cordial travel community and we aspire to bring to you a hassle free and memorable experience. The agency shall not be responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or indirectly incurred expenses in cases such as Natural Hazards, accident, breakdown of machinery, weather conditions, landslides, political closure or any untoward incidents.
- We do not provide any insurance policy to cover for the expenditure on sickness or accidents or losses incurred due to theft or other reasons. Numerous factors such as weather and road conditions the physical ability of participants etc. may bring alteration in the itinerary.
- We reserve the right to make necessary changes in the schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general well-being!
- The photos/videos content created on trip (by our content creators or clients) is property of the company and can only be used for experiences & advertising across media platforms. None of the digital content can be used by anyone without obtaining rightful permissions.
- Full Payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending Payments may eventually lead to the Cancellation of the trip.
- The IDs shall all be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without a valid Govt. ID.
- The Transfer of the bookings is not permitted. Only the names mentioned at the time of confirmation shall be allowed to travel.
- No refunds shall be made towards any inclusion(s) not availed by the Client. Travelers must take care of their luggage & belongings & The management shall not be responsible for any damage or any missing items along the tour. The time of Departure is stated & fixed. All travelers must update their status with the Trip coordinator(s), & report at the pickup point 30 mins prior to the scheduled departure.
- The Air Conditioning will be switched off in the hills. Also, during the trip, it shall be the Driver's discretion to put off the AC as & when required, considering the travelers' safety & ease of travel along uneven & dangerous routes.
